SAFE AT LAST - helping kids who've run away
You're thirteen. You're on the street and living rough. You just can't take the constant conflict and abuse at home any more. But suddenly, life is even worse. There are new dangers everywhere.
Four thousand children run away from home in South Yorkshire every year. SAFE@LAST is a charity that's there to help them. This emotional film uses animated characters voiced by real young people telling their own stories. School teachers say that it's getting a fantastic response. It moved a Chief Constable to tears. More importantly, it's raising awareness and money.
